In case you didn't know, the British authors you quote above have (it
seems to me quite appropriately) responded to your posting as follows: "80's paragraphs above are mentioned on a site called LAVoice thus: 'I was amused to learn that the San Diego Natural History Museum's media campaign for its Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit appears to be encountering a rather skeptical reception, particularly with the usual anti-American commentators living abroad. Today I read the following on the British View from 80 blog...' Surely that 'anti-American commentator' remark doesn't refer to these pages? To be sharply skeptical of the claims of religion and the doctrine of pre-emptive military strikes does not automatically make one anti-American." |

| I love how these Euro atheists come in and tell us how to defend our country, what we should believe in, and how to run our business! I myself am a member of the museum and someone I love very much works there--she and all of the staff should be commended for putting together a beautiful display of these precious relics. Since when did religion become evil? Since when is it wrong to present a religious point of view in a museum exhibit? Since when is a curator obliged to invite a bunch of academics who disagree with her point of view? SHE IS THE CURATOR, get that into your head and leave her alone. |

| The only thing you have convinced me of with your reply to the "Euro atheists," is that you are a fool and that this museum exhibit is a pile of rubbish. That someone like Steven Spielberg, for whom I generally have a certain amount of respect, was bamboozled into providing funds for such nonsense, strikes me as scandalous. |
